Description
The Palani Hills are an eastward extension of the Western Ghats in the South Indian State of Tamil Nadu. The highest part of the range is a little over 8200 feet above mean sea level. Photo shows several peaks as viewed from the hill station of Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu. This is the infamous Suicide Point from where many people over the years, have jumped off to end their lives several thousand feet below. There is a sheer, straight drop over the ledge to the right.
