Description
McCain Loop Road, named for J.C. McCain, the first park ranger at Saguaro National Park West, is a scenic route to the west of Tucson, Arizona, between Gates Pass and Saguaro National Park West. This stretch of straight road appears endless under the pure blue sky. Although the ground is parched, the desert is alive with Saguaro, the nation's largest cactus, as well as prickly pear, creosote bushes, and various other cacti and succulents.
