Description
Arrifana Beach is situated in the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, near Aljezur, on the west coast of the Algarve Portugal. It is a very small place and it is much appreciated for surfer's as there is a small bay where the sea waves are protected from the north winds and it is fantastic for surfing. The sandy beach, on the left but not seen on the photo, is very popular in the summer months but narrow on high tide. On top of the high cliff there is a small fortress where we have a panoramic view to the rugged north coast. To the south, on clear days we can see Cape Saint Vincent from here. There is also a small port where some local fishermen take their boats to fish.
