The built 1926-1932, 65 m high and 205 m long gravity dam in Germany Thuringia near Gräfenwarth and Schleiz accumulates 215 million cubic meters of water of the Saale. Keep Bleilochtalsperre is the largest by volume capacity reservoir in Germany. The construction was carried out within the relief work of Thuringia. These unemployed people were employed from all parts of Thuringia and Saxony, for six months in the construction of the barrier. For construction of the dam especially a railway line was built. She was a branch of the railway line Schleiz-Saalburg and branched off in Gräfenwarth station and led to Gräfenwarth Sperrmauer Gbf. The line was long in operation and was operated electrically.
