Description
The lovely town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber was founded in the tenth century on a hill overlooking the river Tauber. During World War II, was saved from total destruction thanks to the American military authorities who, knowing the beauty of the historic village, wanted to save it. After the war, the residents quickly repaired the bombing damage and today we can admire a well-preserved medieval walled village. The city is a popular tourist destination of Bavaria, on the Romantische Straße, the Romantic Road, visited every year by millions of people.
