Amsterdam, Netherlands: The Arsenal ('Het Arsenaal'), completed in 1610 - served as a storage facility for grain, butter and peat for the poor from 1665 to 1808. In the nineteenth century, the building was used as an armoury and since 1942 by the Academy of Architecture - Southeast side of Waterlooplein / Nieuwe Amstelstraat.
