Ships of the Ferdinand Magellan (1480 - 1521) - Portuguese navigator who sailed on behalf of the Spanish crown. Magellan began the first circumnavigation of the globe, but could not finish them personally, as he was killed while traveling. Wood engraving, published in 1888.
