A decorative public garden on the rear side of the Cable Car station at the foot of Monserrate in Bogota, Colombia, South America. It is meant purely to beautify the surroundings of the station. The arrangement includes a fountain of flowing water and various green shrubs, reeds and ferns. Stones and rocks add to the overall composition. A decorative cement casting which represents the Chibcha and Muisca Pre-Colombian times, completes the picture.

Guatavita, Colombia - May 12, 2014: The Municipal Office including the Mayor's Office, a bank, a restaurant and a hotel on one of the principal squares in the Andean town of Guatavita, in the Cundinamarca department of the South American country of Colombia. A decorative piece based on the indigenous Chibcha culture, can be seen in the middle of the building: it is painted gold to denote the role gold played in the tribal culture. A waiter serves some customers at table set outside the restaurant; a man walks across the square. Although the town was constructed less than 50 years ago, it was designed and built in the classical Spanish colonial style of architecture. Guatavita, located at an elevation of 8660 feet above sea level, and about a 90 minute drive from the capital city of Bogota, is today a popular tourist destination with both local Colombians and international tourists. Photo shot in the afternoon sunlight; horizontal format. Attractive blue sky; copy space.
