A vibrating roller ironing machine consists of a 700 mm long and 300 mm wide ironing board B, which is covered with a strong frieze, over which a nettle fabric stretched by two rollers is placed, and the heated roller A, which rests on rockers S, which are moved back and forth by the crankshaft K.

To achieve a good shine and feel, collars, cuffs, etc. must first be dried after starching and then moistened before ironing, for which purpose a moistening machine is used in larger steam laundries.
