Description
The Bistrița is a river in the Romanian regions of Maramureș, Bukovina and Moldavia. It is heavily used for hydropower, hence the creation of several artificial lakes on its course. The lakes, mountains, forests, wildlife, rural landscape and monasteries in the area attract lots of tourists.
