Description
Castel Beseno is the largest fortified complex in Trentino and occupies an entire hilltop dominating the Valle dell'Adige, between Rovereto and Trento. Restored in the second half of the twentieth century, the castle was built in the twelfth century with an elliptical shape that covers the entire top of the limestone hill, extending for 250 meters in length and width about 50 meters. Inside you find fortified gates, ramparts, spacious courtyards, cellars and several frescoes, with beautiful views on the valley below crossed by the river Adige. Trentino Alto Adige, Italy.
