Description
Saw Blade Shrimp Tozeuma armatum is a species of broken back shrimp (Hippolydiae) that occurs throughout the tropical Indo-West Pacific and the Red Sea in a depth range from 3-30m, max. length 5cm. The species is associated with black corals and sea whips. The body is almost invisible due to the elongated shape and the camouflaging bands. Tozeuma armatum can adopt the same color bands as it's particular coral colony host. It can be white, yellow, orange, red or combination of these. The rarest colour combination is yellow and blue.
