Description
A beheaded statue in front of the ruins of the old Crystal Palace terrace in Crystal Palace Park, London. The historic Crystal Palace, originally built in Hyde Park, London, for the Great Exhibition of 1851, was later moved to Sydenham Hill, in south east London, where magnificent grounds were laid out for the public to enjoy. The Palace was destroyed by fire in 1936.
