Description
The hermitage, of San Cassiano, where religious men came to live to escape the temptations of the world, is built into the rock wall of a mountain between Lumignano and Longare in the small village of Costozza. The eastern facade of the Hermitage, about twenty meters long, is closed by a partially diroccato wall, which is crossed under a large portal submerged by the fronds of lush oleanders. Also from this side you access the chapel on the lower floor through a small door above which, about three meters high, an epigraph is engraved on the southern side a staircase built close to the rocky wall leads to rear entrance to the hermitage.
