Description
The Knox Covered Bridge was built in 1851 and was 50 feet long. It was made of white pine. The original bridge was washed away by a flood in 1865 and was rebuilt the same year to 65 feet in length. It was damaged by fire in 1958 and rebuilt again. The bridge is located in Valley Forge National Park. Valley Forge National Historical Park is the site of General George Washington's encampment during the Revolutionary War .Washington and his troops camped at this site from 1777 to 1778.The park is comprised of 3,500 acres and contains many monuments and trails. It's located in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.
