Description
This blooming yucca stands tall in the desert of New Mexico at White Sands National Park. The park is a field of white sand dunes composed of gypsum crystals. The San Andres mountains are are to the West and the Sacramento Mountains to the East with the Tularosa basin in between. The yuccas bloom in spring. A stunning area is beautiful with the a bright blue sky against the white sand. Plants play a critical role in the ecosystem as they provide food and shelter for wildlife.
