Description
Unlike many plastic wall-trophy-fish images, this is a picture of a real, wild Alaskan salmon known as red salmon, or sockey salmon or scientifically Oncorhynchus nerka. Spawning males develop dull-green head and brick-red to scarlet bodies, pretty for a picture, bad to eat. This specimen has been caught in Kenai River, Alaska, and released soon after picture taking. This fish is naturally covered with slime, hence tha picture may look somewhat blurry, still, it is sharp
