Description
The Gassho-style village of Shirakawa-go is a group of Gassho-style villages located in Shirakawa-go in the Hietsu region of Gifu Prefecture. On December 9, 1995, it was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (cultural heritage) along with Gokayama in neighboring Toyama Prefecture, making it the sixth World Heritage Site in Japan. The view of Ogimachi village from the observation deck is the place where you can see the most beautiful view of the gassho-style village.
