Description
“Takoyaki” 「たこ焼き」 is another causal Japanese food, often eaten as snacks. It is a kind of fried dumpling made of a wheat flour base batter. The word “Takoyaki” literally means ‘fried/grilled octopus’. It is typically filled with minced octopus, scallions, “Beni-Shoga” (pickled ginger), and “Tenkasu” (scraps of tempura). “Takoyaki” is cooked using a special “Takoyaki” pan, which is an iron griddle having a half spherical molds.
