Description
A series of 6 images depicting the remoteness and extreme environment of the extraordinary community of Stockinish on the wild and barren East Coast of the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. Well off the beaten track and rarely frequented by tourists this is an active fishing village with its own natural harbour surrounded by two wild and heather clad headlands. The atmosphere of the place is vividly captured in these images taken in benign weather conditions in springtime. This sixth and final image shows the brightly coloured storage hut in stark contrast to the muted greens and browns characteristic of Harris.
