Description
The Sambisari temple is one of the most beautiful Hindu temples in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This temple is unique and special because it is located about 6,5 m under the ground, so it won’t be easy to see from a distance. Sambisari is Shiva Hindu’s temple, and was supposedly built at the beginning of the 9th century in the Rakai Garung era, the King of Hindu’s Mataram from Wangsa Syailendra. The Sambisari temple complex consists of 1 main temple surrounded by 3 other temples.
