It all started in the 50s, when field workers returned home from their work riding on their mules and donkeys and were surprised that tourists wanted to take photos with them. What began as a game, became a new source of income for the locals, and today in the andalusian village of Mijas there are over 60 donkey-taxis "(burro-Taxi)" that charge around 10 euros per ride.
