Description
Named for the astronomer who first spotted it, this comet had been unknown to science only four months earlier. It is thought to have last appeared over China in the year 574 A.D., and won't be seen again until the 3400s. This photo was taken at 18000 feet above sea level on January 22, 2007 at Aconcagua's Nido de Cóndores camp.
