Description
Houses of the joão-de-barro or forneiro bird (Furnarius rufus), also called uiracuiar and uiracuité, is a passerine bird from the Furnariidae family. It is known for its characteristic oven-shaped clay nest (a characteristic shared with many species in this family). It is the symbol bird of Argentina, where it is called hornero and considered the "Ave de la Patria" since 1928.
