Female brown-headed cowbird, scourge of other birds and of people who watch and feed birds, because it is literally a parasite. The female cowbird builds no nest. Instead, she sneaks onto the nests of other birds, often throws out their eggs, and lays her own in their place. Some birds, like the song sparrow, can't recognize the deception, and they raise the interlopers after their own eggs disappear.
