Southern Fiddler Ray (Trygonorrhina dumerilii) aka banjo shark in Port Phillip Bay. These rays have a flattened body, shaped somewhat like a guitar or banjo. They have a striking pattern of dark lines or saddles across the back, often resembling a fiddle shape. They are found in sandy bays, seagrass beds, and shallow reef areas. They are often seen resting partially buried in sand during the day.

The Tassled Scorpionfish Scorpaenopsis oxycephala has 12 dorsal spines. The first in front is much shorter, the last is hidden in the fat layer. The species occurs in the Indo-West Pacific from Red Sea to the Seychelles (Seychelles confirmed by own reseach) and to Taiwan and Guam in a depth range of at least 1-35m, probably much deeper, max. length 36cm, common 30cm. The camouflage of this species is amazing, the pattern is almost a magic hood! Lembeh Strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia 1°29'38" N 125°14'15 " E at 16m depth
