Annecy, France - April 26, 2010: The Palais de L'Isle sits in the middle of the Canal du Thiou connecting with the Lake of Annecy. Annecy is located 35 km south of Geneva, and at one time was part of Geneva's administrative region. The Palais dates from the 14th century, and has been a residence, courthouse, mint, prison and museum over the centuries. It has also been part of the administration of Haute Savoie. Today it hosts exhibits on local architecture and history. In the evening, it's lighting casts reflections in the water of the canal flowing around it.
