A large chunk of blue ice has broken off below the surface of the Dawes Glacier and comes rocketing to the surface. This is commonly referred to as a shooter. At this point it is 100 feet above the surface creating a large wave. usually icebergs are created when the top of the glacier fractures & falls into the water. The face of the glacier is about 400 feet and filled with texture. The amazing blue colour of the emerging iceberg was amazing. It began to change colour immediately after exposure to oxygen.
