The iron pier is 2,295 feet (700m) long, making it the longest pier in Wales and the fifth longest pier in England and Wales. Members of the National Piers Society voted it their "Pier of the Year” in 2005. It dates from the 1800’s and hosts a collection of shops, cafés, bars and amusement arcades.
