There are more than 1,000 monkeys in the monkey forest. They are mischievous. They will jump on your shoulders or might steal your water and food. Some sleep on banyan trees or in the middle of the path surrounded by all the moss covered statues in the jungle.This monkey species is called Balinese long-tailed macaque. When I went there, most monkeys were grooming. Monkeys are sacred for Balinese people.
