Small, rather slender Tree, with smooth silvery-gray Branches. Leaves pinnate, with 5-7 pairs of oblong toothed leaflets, green, hairy beneath. Flowers 8-10mm, in domes clusters. Habitat: Woodland, Hedgerows, Moors and Mountains to 2400m, mainly on light Soils. Flowering Season: May-June. Distribution: Western Europe, except the far North. The Orange Berries meshes 6-9mm. The Berries are attracted to Birds (especially Thrushes). The Berries are already ripe at the end of Summer. The Berries are used as Herbal Medicine (Stomach Complaint). This is a common Species in the Netherlands. Also planted in Parks.
