Temple of Mut at Karnak with sekhmet statues illustration 1882 The Temple of Mut at Karnak contains a large number of Sekhmet statues, commissioned by Pharaoh Amenhotep III and later moved to the temple from his funerary temple. Originally intended to be part of a collection of hundreds of statues for rituals, these statues of the lion-headed goddess were moved to Mut's temple as his original mortuary temple fell into disrepair.Original edition from my own archivesSource : Egipto - Jorge Ebers 1882 mut stock illustrations

Temple of Mut, Jebel Barkal in Sudan It is very very similar (or same!) to what you see in Egypt, I think. Familiar figures with lion-head but I didn't see sacred lotus :) I think it is reserved very well, although it is not super colorful. It is not huge but you can enjoy the ancient history on the 4 walls, which is full of painting and carving. mut stock pictures, royalty-free photos & images
