Saigon / Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: during the final stages of the Vietnam War in 1975, the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) captured American-made M48A3 Patton tanks from the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) and the US Army. These tanks were later incorporated into the NVA and Vietnam People's Army inventories. Some remained in service into the 1980s, while others were used for training or for display Vietnam.
