Banded Coral Shrimps Pontonides ankeri at a Whip Coral Stichopathes sp. This shrimp species occurs in the tropical Indo-Pacific in a depth range from 0-42m. The shrimp species is often confused with another: Dasycaris zanzibarica has a similar habitat, size and appearance. The carapace of Pontonides ankeri is smoothly rounded behind the eyes, while Dasycaris zanzibarica has a sharp point in the same place. Palau, 7°7'37.5564 N 134°17'26.6136 E at 15m depth
