Cotinus Coggygria Royal Purple, smoke bush with Raindrops in summer garden.

Cotinus coggygria, commonly known as smoke tree, is an upright, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub. Its common name of smoke tree comes from the billowy hairs (attached to stalks on the spent flower clusters) which turn a smokey pink to purplish pink in summer, thus covering the tree with hazy, smoke-like puffs during summer.

Clipped yew tree hedges, beech, tulip and pine trees, boxwood / box hedging (buxus hedging), herbaceous flowers, smoke bushes (cotinus) and rose bushes complete the scene.
