The steam locomotive #138 is Class NG G16 Garratt articulated steam locomotives with a 2-6-2+2-6-2 Double Prairie type wheel produced is South Africa between 1937 and 1968 for narrow gauge lines. The Welsh Highland Railway in the United Kingdom owns four of them (two in regular operation).
