Jambhala (aka Dzambhala, Dzambala, Zambala or Jambala) is the God of Fortune and Wealth and a member of the Jewel Family (Ratnasambhava). Jambhala is believed to be an emanation of Avalokitesvara or Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. In Vajrayana Buddhism, Yellow Jambhala (Duowen Tianwang) sits in a half-lotus posture. He wears a gold crown adorned with precious gemstones and gemstone chains on his body. His right hand holds a bijapuraka fruit (Citrus medica) and his left hand holds a mongoose with a jewel in its mouth.
