Vintage Japanese Woodblock print of Samuri This delightful woodblock print image dated 1891 shows Ushiwakamaru, the young Minamoto Yoshitsune (1159-1189) leaving Mount Kurama to go to Kyoto city. He walks barefoot alongside a stream as a Samuri carrying his sword over his shoulder as the sun rises in the sky. Yoshitsune was known for having a number of followers of "low social standing" and the members of his army have been described as "guerrillas." warrior kneeling stock illustrations
