Kammersee, Austria - July 16th 2019: The Kammersee Lake in Austria is a very remotely located Alpine lake. It is only reachable when crossing Lake Toplitz by boat and hiking a few hundred meters through a dense primeval forest. This walkway through the primeval forest is shown on this picture. A young female hiker walks upstairs this walkway.Centuries ago, raftmen (forest workers who transported the fallen trees by boat to the next sawmill) troublesome chiseled a small ravine into the mountain, connecting the Kammersee Lake and Lake Toplitz with each other. In this ravine, they could transport the fallen trees from one lake to the other.

Kammersee, Austria - July 16th 2019: The Kammersee Lake in Austria is a very remotely located Alpine lake. It is only reachable when crossing Lake Toplitz by boat and hiking a few hundred meters through a dense primeval forest. Centuries ago, raftmen (forest workers who transported the fallen trees by boat to the next sawmill) troublesome chiseled a small ravine into the mountain, connecting the Kammersee Lake and Lake Toplitz with each other. In this ravine, they could transport the fallen trees from one lake to the other.

Kammersee, Austria - July 16th 2019: The Kammersee Lake in Austria is a very remote lake, reachable only by boat via Lake Toplitz. It is surrounded by rock faces of the Dead Mouintain Range as well as by a dense primval forest. Plenty of drift wood is found in or around the lake. A huge fallen tree lies next to a park bench. A young woman sitting on that park bench and enjoying the view and tranquility.

"Strong snowfall in the middle of this beautiful nature reserve at the Lake Toplitzsee in Styria, Austria. It has been snowing for days and the lake infront is almost completly covered with snow. The peaceful mood is overwhelming!"

Toplitzsee/Austria/Europe: Lake Toplitz in the Austrian Alps. Hikers find it within step rocks, cliffs and preservated forests in the so called "dead mountains". Due to the lack of oxygen below fish can survive only on the Surface of the lake. Below 20 m the water is salty. In WW2 it was a secret Nazi naval testing station. There might be Gold and fortunes at the bottom of the lake. Visits are possible by foot, a fisherman's restaurant at the western end provides boat trips.
