There are several dozo(土蔵) storehouses for the festive floats in Takayama. Dozo are traditional Japanese architectural structures with outer walls made of mud and finished with plaster. The Yataigura (屋台蔵) where the Takayama festival floats are stored is an excellent white-walled storehouse. "Yatai Float Festival in Takayama(高山祭の屋台行事)" is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
