They range from sunrise to sunset and show the snow capped Longs Peak in the Rocky Mountains to the Pawnee Buttes just outside the Pawnee National Grasslands with a variety of petroleum production equipment from drilling rigs to storage tanks, flares to separators.

Looking out from the Pawnee National Grasslands, a oil well pad next to the grasslands pumps petroleum into the night. Near the small building, a vertical heater/treater/separator breaks up the oil from other contaminates like water and gas. Flames flow off a high pressure flare with a VOC combustor stack standing behind. The flares burn volatile organic compounds like hydrogen sulfide, gasses such as methane and other hazardous air pollutants and then are vented to the atmosphere. Finally a battery of eight storage tanks, which also vent VOCs stands as a beam pump jack pulls up the oil from a fracked oil well on the grasslands adjacent to the National Grasslands.
