Bhutan: Tiger's Nest - Paro Taktsang / Taktsang Palphug monastery - sacred Vajrayana Himalayan Buddhist site located in the cliffside of the upper Paro valley - dedicated to Padmasambhava, aka Guru mTshan-brgyad Lhakhang or "Shrine of the Guru with Eight Names", refers to Padmasambhava's Eight Manifestations, built around a cave in 1692 by Gyalse Tenzin Rabgye - Tibetan Buddhism, Nyingma and Drukpa Kagyu sect.
